1. Who operates BettaBot?
BettaBot is an independently developed service. The legal identity and contact details of the operator must be added here before public launch.
2. Information that may be processed
Depending on the features enabled, the bot may process Discord server and user identifiers, Torn player identifiers, API credentials, configuration settings, alert events and technical logs needed to operate the service.
3. Why information is used
Information may be used to provide bot functionality, authenticate users and servers, deliver alerts, administer subscriptions, prevent abuse, troubleshoot faults and protect the service.
4. API credentials
API keys are sensitive credentials. The final service design must document how keys are transmitted, encrypted, accessed, retained and deleted. Do not submit real credentials until the bot’s security and privacy arrangements have been reviewed.
5. Sharing and service providers
Information may be processed by infrastructure and platform providers needed to operate the service. The final notice will identify relevant providers and explain any international transfers.
6. Retention and security
Retention periods and security controls will be documented before launch. No system can be guaranteed completely secure; users should protect their accounts and promptly report suspected compromise.
7. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may provide rights to access, correct, erase or restrict personal information, and to object to certain processing. The final notice will explain how to exercise applicable rights and how to complain to the ICO.
8. Contact
The data controller’s identity and privacy contact address must be added before this service accepts real user data.
